Pacific Gem

Pacific Gem has been around since 1987, but has seen a recent resurgence in use by microbreweries and homebrewers. It is a beautiful bittering hop (13-16% AA) that also possesses a good balance between Cohumulone, Myrcene, and Humulene. Pacific Gem is perfectly suited for stouts with an aroma of toasted oak that blends with ripe blackberries and sweet citrus. While it was initially introduced as a bittering hop, Pacific Gem has been used in many styles and a variety of applications. Pedigree Crosses of Smoothcone, Cluster, and Fuggle
