Pilgrim hops are a newer twist on the classic English hop. Developed by Wye College and released in 2000, Pilgrim offers traditional English character for pale ales and bitters. Cedar and spice are the main aromas, but Pilgrim also has a unique honey character that is bright and refreshing.
Pilgrim works well as a replacement for any classic English hop like East Kent Golding, but offers a bit more bitterness potential with the higher alpha acid percentage.
